QUESTION:  

“Is it OK to stay home during showings to point out amenities that the Realtor might miss? Nobody knows this house like we do!”

ANSWER: 

Dear Readers:

“ That’s true, but your home will sell faster if you’re not there. When you leave it to the Realtor  to  point out special features, buyers will feel more comfortable in your home.

If you are following them around during  a showing, you risk “overselling” the home. The buyers may feel like they are paying extra for amenities that are not especially important to them. They could pass you by for a less expensive home without the extras they consider unnecessary.”
